I said "smile for me honey" and got this...
Then I said honey, a real smile please. LOL
So today is dedicated to the one who stole my heart the moment I met him. The day was June 12, 1993 at my friend Brenda's back yard BBQ. "Please come meet this great guy"....she begged me for what seemed like months. LOL Probably was a few days, who knows? I walked in that back yard, saw Greg and honestly, I was instantly in love. The only way I know to describe it is that we were destined to be together. I feel like God created this man for me and me for him. We were together from that day forward. Crazy huh? LOL
He is a rare breed of man. I had a 3 yr old daughter at the time. I was a "package deal". He told me he wouldn't have it any other way. He became an instant daddy at the age of 21 to a silly, head strong girl, who was now age 4. Shortly before we got married (6 months after we met), she asked me if she could call Greg "daddy". I said you'll have to ask him. :) I'll never forget that conversation as long as I live. "Greg, can I call you daddy"? "Yep, you sure can" , "Ok then, you're my daddy". She never called him Greg again...it never even slipped out accidentally. He was daddy. He never once treated her like she was anything but HIS. This is why I believe that spiritual DNA is stronger than physical DNA. We have 4 children now.....we're so blessed.
We have lived out our vows....well maybe all except the "richer". Maybe not money wise, but we are rich in every way that counts. 2010 was definitely "for worse". But we're making it through that.
I love this man. I love being his Mrs. I've been blessed to have found a once in a lifetime love. The desire of my heart is to be a very old woman with this very old man right by my side.
What a lovely story of two hearts bound by one God. I love romance. I love this!!
