Project 365- Day 4, January 4, 2011

This is our Holly Rose.  She came to us about 6½ years ago and she was about 6 months old at the time.  Too bad you can't ask dogs when their birthday is. LOL  Holly was at a really run down animal rescue place when we found her.  The conditions there were just deplorable.  I wish I could have rescued all the dogs there.  She was just sweet as could be and quickly became one of the family.

She has a beautiful temperament but is VERY shy even after all these years.  When you come near her, she cowers.  It breaks my heart to know what must have been done to her in her first few months of life that have led her to still feel that way with her family that loves her.  We will just keep loving our Holly, though.

She and Macie are best friends and Holly can't do anything without Macie by her side.  :)
